June 29, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

I was browsing and reading all your interesting blogs when I spotted this tag, sorry if I didn't mention who was it from, cos I was reading all the blogs at the same time.  Anyway all the questions are really interesting and I can wait to get this started.  I'm also tagging this question to the following people and to all who reads my blog.

Ps. let me know if you did these questions :)

1.Yadu - http://dramaticyaduthedramaqueen.blogspot.sg/
2.Miranda -http://mariahlovesmakeup.blogspot.com/

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

Well I won't say that my hair is really curly but more wavy, I still have to use a curling iron to curl my hair whenever I'm getting ready to going out.

2. What is your natural hair color?

 Black

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I used to go to the salon to get my hair dyed, I was really lazy doing it myself and always love pampering myself  :P but since going back to black coloured hair I now dye at home.

4. How often do you wash your hair?

I wash my hair 5 days a week. I used to wash my locks everyday but I noticed that my hair becoming super thin, maybe it's the chemicals in my shampoo but I stopped washing my hair everyday.

5. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

Yup I do my own mani/pedi at home as I get scared of how rough the shops people do nails so I prefer doing on my own.

6. How often to you change your nail polish?

I change my nail polish when it starts to crack or scrape off

7. How long does it take to put on your makeup?

10-15mins

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

I always do my eyes first then do to my face.

9. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

When there's a special event eg. weddings, dinner and dance parties etc  or a nights out with my girls.

10. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

Nope  hate it as I have to spend more time in front of the mirror removing everything I applied when the night is up.

11. Will you leave the house without makeup?

Yes I do but only to stores that's near my house (walking distance)  not to places where I need use public transport ;)

12. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

twice a week

13. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

 I kinda do both :)

14. How many high end products do you have?

High end...  I only have 2 cause most of the time I prefer using drug store products.

Room Makeover

June 22, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

From the tittle, I'm sure you have guessed that today's blog post is about my room makeover. Well I have been having the same plain and boring bedroom design, style, colour and I'm getting sick of seeing the same thing.  So before I can get this makeover started,  I informed my dad on my ideas and plans that I want to have in my room and he agreed to give me a helping hand :)  My ideal style is semi vintage, semi modern.  To start off my room makeover, my cousin, sis & I went to IKEA  last Sunday to get a few things and some ideas for my room.  I even took some images from Tumblr on how I want the final look to be :)
More or less I'm super excited, to get this makeover going and to see the final look.  So stay tune for the final look soon :)

Weekend Nail Art

May 31, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

I know i haven't been doing my weekly nail art posts that i said i would do :( since the weekend starts tomorrow, i thought I'll share with you girls what nail art design I'll have on my nails for the weekend :)
Basically, this design isn't my own, i was inspired by a YouTube video i watched and i was interested to give it a go.  I have to say it's really easy to do and you need is :

♥ A dotting tool

♥ 6 Nail polish colours of your choice

Steps: (See pictures below)

1.Start of by painting your nails with a base coat to protect your natural nails.

2.Then paint the nail with the colour of your choice, I painted my nails purple.

3.Next taking the dotting, create 6 small dots to form a small circle using White nail polish.

4.Once you have done that, create 7 small dots using Yellow nail polish   next to the white dots.

5.Repeat step 4 but this time using Green nail polish and Dark Blue nail polish.

6.Once it's all done, place a small dot using  Red Nail Polish in between the white circles that you have created at the beginning.

7. Paint off with a top coat.

Final Look :)

I'm super excited to try them out, and might be doing a review on them just to share my opinions :) so stay tune for that...

Peacock Inspired Nail Art

April 30, 2012 2 Comments
Hey Dolls,

For the weekend  i did my long awaited and requested nail tutorial - Peacock Nail Art.  Since i finally bought the required nail colours for it, i thought i should give it a go, and the photos below are all done on my my first try and must say that i did get pretty good compliments on my Facebook page :)

Product Used

Turquoise nail polish by Nail LACQUER
♥ Gold nail polish by Constance Carroll - Sandcastle
♥ Blue nail polish by Aisai
♥ Dark Blue nail polish by The Face Shop
♥Dotting Tool
♥ Toothpick

Steps:

Apply a base coat to help protect your natural nails.

Start off by painting your nails a solid turquoise colour.

Then using your dotting tool, take some Gold colour to create some large circles.

Next go in with the Blue polish and create small circles.

The final circles will be smaller Dark Blue ones on top of the Blue circles.

And the last step is to take a toothpick with the turquoise nail polish and create a small line at the bottom of the dark blue circles.

Finally add a top coat to protect your design & that's it :)

D.I.Y Bow Rings

April 27, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

Here's yet another mini project that's really cool and fun to do and i really wanted to share and teach you girls on how to achieve your very own Bow Rings at a lesser cost.  Plus it's also  perfect gifts to friends and love ones.  So basically, what you'll need is four things :

-Ribbon (1/4" or 1/2")
-Needle & Thread
-Hot Glue
- Rings (Found in craft stores)

Steps:
1.  Taking any preferred colour ribbon, cut two & half inches of the ribbon.

2. Then bring the ends together,as your doing that do fold it so it kinda outlines the shape.

3. Next taking your needle and thread, go through in a in-out sequence for about 3 times. (see picture below)

4. Then you're gonna wrap the string around the ribbon a few times so this helps secure
the shape of the bow. Once done, keep that aside.(See pictures below)

5. Cut out another small piece of ribbon and fold it into two, glue the folded side.

6. Taking the bow, wrap the small piece of ribbon and glue it down firmly.

7. Finally glue the bow to the ring and  allow it to dry ...

Vola and you got you're  very own  Bow Ring  :) Sorry that i forgot to take pictures of step 5 & 6, but by follow the steps mentioned i sure you'll be able to get it right :)

Ps: Do let me know  what you think about this D.I.Y project and if you do give it a try let me know xx

Titanic : The Artifact Exhibition in Singapore

April 25, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

Last Sunday evening, my girlfriends and I decided to go check out Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition, that was held at the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands Singapore, and we had an awesome time .  Tickets were about $20 per person and it is worth paying as it was an eye opener for us as we got to learn, view and experience what it was like to be in a ship that was now part of history.  We got to see actual artifacts that were found in the ship - old wine bottles, old cookery items, whistle pipe, binoculars and lots more.  As we entered the exhibition for our tour, we were given a boarding pass each with actual names of passengers who boarded the ship and
our task was to find out if they survived or died that faithful night, at the end of  our tour.  What i really liked about the entire exhibition was that it made you feel like you're really in the titanic, and also leaves you wondering what the actual passengers on board must have  felt when the ship hit the iceberg and when  water was rushing into ship,  and how lucky were the 706 passengers who survived among the two thousands passengers.  Anyway all i can say that, it's really amazing and would encourage anyone to go check it out..

Here are some pictures of the exhibition.
