Makeup Remover - Biore Review

July 31, 2012 2 Comments
Hey Dolls,

Most of my girls wanna know what kind of makeup remover I use on a daily basics.  Well I don't have a specific type or brand (to be frank I change brands all the time, I'm not saying that they are not good or whatsoever, its just that I have yet to find a good brand.) Until my girlfriends told me about Biore.  I have seen the product before in my local supermarket  and magazines, heard positive feedback's, but even bought it thinking it was the same as the makeup removers I always buy. I guess I'm wrong, cause from all the brands I have tried in the past, I really like Biore which I am still loyally using the product to date.  So now many of you might be wondering "Why I love it"  here's why - its really convenient in terms of carrying it around and does remove the makeup in a single wipe.  It also leaves my skin feeling very soft and fresh after I have removed  every bit of makeup on my face, unlike other products where it leaves a sticky and oily feeling. Plus the packaging is really pretty :) There is just two things I think,  the product can improve on is the size of the facial wipe cause I find it kinda small and its price cause I really do find it expensive in terms of replacing a packet each time I run out of the wipes.. (Many may disagree on this part, but that's my opinion).  Just recently, I also received a sample of Biore's latest product called Biore Aqua Jelly. I did gave it a try, where it states 5 pointers of what the product does (see picture below).  this really caught my attention - 'Don't use facial cotton pad or tissue instead for best result, apply on dry face and hand '.   I have not bought the full 230ml bottle that's why I can't show how the actual bottle looks like, as I 'm still using the product from my sample bottle. Overall I would say, that for those who are still searching for a good decent makeup remover, I  think you should give Biore try :) To receive a sample click http://aquajelly.com.sg/

ps. This blog post is strictly based on my own opinion and I'm not paid from the company to do this review or to promote their products.

Belated Birthday Shopping

July 26, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

My sister took me to the newly opened store Payless at Tampines 1 to buy me my belated birthday present - Shoes :).  Before we went over to the store, I joked to her saying that I'll purchase 5 pairs and she has to get her money ready to pay for them..lol but eventually, I didn't go as crazy like her.. I ended up buying only two pairs of shoes while she ended up with three (so much for my over confidence)..  The shoes that I was looking for to buy were either not in my size 9 feet or they were the last pair in store... I have this habit,(well many might say 'Oh well just take the last pair of your size coz you'll never know when they will restock') but I can't cause firstly it's a display pair and many customers might have tired it on and being the last pair it might not be in a good condition as a brand new pair from the store in a proper box :) So that kinda explain why I only bought two, I'm fine with anyway.  So after our mini shopping at Payless, we went over to Six and Forever 21 where I give myself a little treat on some things that I really liked, and to my surprise everything in both stores were all going for a discount :) To share with you, here a peak on what I bought from all three store :) xx

My 22nd Birthday

July 20, 2012 1 Comments

Yuppie!! I turned 22 yesterday, omg I'm getting old ..lol  the previous day my best friend Husna, her cousin and my sister planned an awesome surprise dinner at Fish & Co. I really enjoyed myself and had the best time with my buddies :) anyway yesterday's party wasn't a huge celebration like my 21st as this time, I chose to celebrate my birthday with my family.  My day started out very much the usual, but I was feeling excited and extremely happy (you know the feeling that lots of people get on their birthday's) yes that was what I really felt.. My home phone was ringing non-stop from all the b'day wishes I was receiving from my relatives and friends in Singapore as well as around the world. Felt like I was a famous star..lol  Apart from the b'day wishes I also received beautiful b'day cards and gifts from my parents, uncle and aunt , my sister and my best friends Husna & Jannah.  Appreciate all the gifts :) and thank you xx  By evening my dad bought me my favourite chocolate fudge cake from Prima Deli, where the entire family sang Happy Birthday as I cut my cake :)  So to share a piece of my special day, here are the gifts and pictures I received and took of my love ones xoxo..

Button Nail Art

July 17, 2012 1 Comments
Hey Dolls,

I know I was suppose to post this out on Monday first thing but due the Internet connection not working properly I just couldn't.. For the weekend I did the usual french manicure with a slight twist.  I thought this design is simply fun to have on for the summer. (But summer looks more like winter back here)  :( Anyway let's not go on about that but like always I'll list out the steps and post the pictures as a guide, so you too can achieve your very own button nail art. So to get things started, all you need is :

♥ Base Coat & Top Coat

♥ Nail Polishes

♥ Doting Tool

♥ Tool pick

Steps:

  1. Start off by applying a base coat to protect your natural nails.
  2. Create a wide French tip using the colour of your choice. In my case, I used purple from Michelle.
  3. Next using a tooth pick, create a jagged edge to the french tip. This is to give an effect of a frayed or jagged fabric edge.
  4. Now using a white nail pen, create a dotted line for the effect of stitching.
  5. Once that's done, use a dotting tool create an even circle on the tip in green.
  6.  Create four small button dots in black.
  7. Lastly create some cotton threads in white and finish off with a top coat that helps for a lasting design.

2012 Bollywood Sarees

July 11, 2012 0 Comments
Hey Dolls,

I know I have written about this particular online store called www.Avalon.com, a couple of times on my previous posts from Malaysia (Johor) that sells the most beautiful sarees I have ever seen anywhere else.  The company is the largest online variety for designer sarees, salwar suits, lengha's and choli lehengas.  Like always, I was browsing my facebook when I came upon their latest saree album, (called 2012 Peacock Bolly) which really hit me.  As you know I'm a sucker for beautiful and elegant sarees lol..
In order to share with all of you, I have taken some of the beautiful pictures from their facebook page to show you.  I hope you like the one's I picked out and if you do want to see more, just visted their website or facebook page :)
ps. I'm not paid to promote their webpage or their sarees :) xx
